Woodnotes booklet

Background
Woodnotes is a brand we had wanted to collaborate with for a long time. The innovative paper yarn rugs are handcrafted in Finland, and the brand’s core product has remained the same for decades. Woodnotes is already part of the history of Finnish craft art.
What we did
The annual booklet was subtly refreshed while respecting the brand. The concept tells the journey of the paper yarn rug from natural material to paper yarn, through ideas and innovation, into the hands of skilled craftspeople and finally into a harmonious interior.

Woodnotes entrepreneurs and employees were interviewed for the booklet and shared their relationship with Woodnotes. The cover photoshoot was arranged and the visual identity created, where nature photography is placed alongside the product itself. The content and layout were produced as part of the project.

We have continued our collaboration with Woodnotes ever since.
Insight
Woodnotes products are extremely high quality, quietly beautiful, natural and geometric. The layout reflects these values visually by pairing product images with atmospheric nature photographs shot on film by Marko Rantanen.
